The black pin is the flat. The yellow line is the Metro, and Chillingham Road station is the stop you want for town.
Walking times are from the flat and rounded to the nearest minute.
The city centre is about 3km away. The Metro is the easy answer.
Walk to Chillingham Road station (nine minutes, down to the bottom of Chillingham Road). Take the yellow line towards St James. Trains come roughly every 10 minutes in the daytime. Tap in and out with a contactless card or your phone; there's a daily cap so you won't overpay.
Take any Metro one stop to Monument, then change for a yellow line train heading towards Manors and the coast. Chillingham Road is three stops on. A taxi takes around 10 to 15 minutes.
The green line Metro runs direct from the airport to Monument in about 25 minutes. Change there for the yellow line as above.
Buses run down Heaton Road and Chillingham Road into Haymarket every 10 minutes or so, and the ride is around 10 minutes. Pay contactless when you get on.
The last Metros leave town around midnight, so check times on the Nexus website before a big night. Uber and Bolt both work in Newcastle and the fare home is usually modest.
It's about 40 minutes to the centre. Go via the Ouseburn Valley and you'll pass a handful of the city's best pubs on the way, which may slow you down.
